Change

Forgiveness will not change the past but it will expand the future...
--Paul Boesde--

You know as I think about all of the things that I stress about and that I carry in my mind, I have realized that there are so many things that I could just let go of and be free of some of the stress. So there are some people that have come back into my life that was a little unexpected recently and how I have been dealing with it has caused me more stress then I needed in my life. So as I was sitting on the toliet @ my new job I looked across @ the bullitin and noticed the quote listed above and a little light turned on. Sometimes you just have to let some things go and then the elephant will be lifted from your chest.

The way I see it #112

If you've got a dollar and you spend $0.29 on a loaf of bread, you've got $0.71 left. But if you've got $17,000 and you spend $0.29 on a loaf of bread, you've still got $17,000 grand. There's a math lesson for you.

Day Off...

So today was supposed to be my day off...And being the nice, caring person that I am I decided that I would help out a manager and fill in for an open spot...I am thinking to my self that with the economy the way that it is why not get some extra cash into my pocket...So I come to work and there are literally 10 patients waiting to be seen...GREAT way to spend your day off...The first patient of the day comes in with Krispy Cream doughnuts and that was the start of a loving relationship...All that I could think about was how great a cup of Starbucks would be at 8am...So after doing most of the work...considering that my counterpart is good for nothing...I set out in search of my morning cup of JOE...

Well after only getting to drink half a cup of hot white mocha chocolate and two doughnuts I was back to work and was so angry that I even got up in the am to work with this worthless employee...I now know to think twice before I say yes to doing a favor for someone else...Even when money is involved...

Note to Self...

For all of you Fast-Food salad eaters out there here is a little tip for you...For the first time EVER...I decided to stop and get a Ceasar side salad from Wendy's...in my attempt to get healthier by eating...Sooo you are saying to yourself...great job...way to stay on track with getting skinny...Totally not the case...sense I did also get a small fry...but that's not the issue here...I parked my car and opened my crutons...added them to my salad...I am getting really excited about this salad at this point...Now is the time for the dressing...I squeezed every last bit of dressing out and then closed the top...Or so I thought...As I proceeded to SHAKE my salad I became aware that the top was not on tight enough and as a result I ended up with lettuce, bacon bits, cheese, salad dressing and my beloved crutons all over my car...as I curse to myself and put my 5 year old son to talk to my cousin on the phone...I get out of the car and shake my self free of the contents of my much needed meal...I say to my self...what were you thinking...

Then as I continued my travels to the Disney Wide World of Sports and I pick bacon bits out of my A/C vent a thought comes to mind and I made this a note to self...

**Don't shake salad in car...or better yet...Stick to the FRIES**

Open door....

I have heard several times that when one door closes there is always a window open some where...or was it that another door opens, unlocks...WHATEVER the saying is...One door is left cracked for me and another has been unlocked and is about to be wide open...I started my new job today...EXCITING...I have waited the last 2 years to get out of school and start working at the hospital and help people...And not to mention make some real MULA...Oh and if meeting a doctor in the mean time happens then that is a plus I guess...or at least some great free dinners...

Orientation today was great...Or as great as an orientation can be...The hostess was super nice "y'all"...The whole time Helen was talking and using her Georgia southern accent I couldn't stop thinking of Jerr's Boss..."Y'all"...This first day of work was different then any other that I have been to... We took pictures...and let me tell you everyone was upset that my photo looked the best...not to be big headed or anything...but they did call mine a glamor shot...We made up team names...and let me tell you that at 7:30 in the morning, pre-coffee the creative electrodes are not working...so we did waht any other team would do and just use the name off of the binder...VISION...that was the name that we stole right off of the folder...We answered trivia questions and random have to know questions about the new job...And me being the competitive NERD that I am made sure that my team won...by a land slide of 20 points...Score...So I know what your thinking...if there were teams and questions and points then there MUST be prizes...SO what was the prize you ask...let me describe it to you the way that Helen described it to a roon full of 26 people...

HELEN:
"I did tell you that the gift was small right...Well it is small and ladies really seem to like it, and since there are only ladies at this table then I am sure that you will enjoy it. There is a battery in there so you don't have to worry about getting one. They're great and it will fit in your purse so you can have it when you need it."

ROOM:
"Laugter throughout the"

HELEN:
" I think that y'all took my description in the wrong way"

Do you want to know what the PRIZE was...oh you have not idea do ya...

I'll give you another minute to think about it...

Okay...give up...It was a mini flash light...

DIrty, dirty, dirty minds...

Procrastination

Ok so I started this blogging thing and then just left it sitting there waiting for me to revisit it...You know that is one of the things that I need to change about me...I start things and then don't finish them or at least take FOREVER to complete the task...Why is that? Why do I procrastinate? I have always used the excuse that I work better under pressure...But I am noticing that that is not so...I am just lazy when it comes to doing things that I REALLY have no real desire to do...So how do i fix this problem...What is it that I should look for in what ever the project may be to get enough of my attention that I will want to complete the task in a timely manner...If you could help me with this matter it would be very much appreciated...
